After a lower back injury sidelined Erin for an entire season of volleyball in high school, her own treatment led her to pursuing a career in physical therapy. She studied at Ithaca College(NY) earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Having enjoyed time in the Northwest during an internship at Portland Shriner's hospital, she returned the the northwest and joined the staff at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center's Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic focusing on orthopedics and sports medicine.
Erin enjoys skiing the slopes of Mt. Hood, hiking, running and exploring her passion for yoga. She found the balance yoga provides between stabilization and flexibility help her maintain a healthy lower back. Erin now integrates her passion for yoga with physical therapy working with patients toward an optimal healing experience.
She is excited to contribute to this newsletter and hopes her tips and information will help weekend warriors and gym rats alike avoid needing physical therapy through education and awareness of injury prevention. And yes, she still plays volleyball weekly too!
